Dating back to 1766 along Little Rockfish Creek, it began as a small milling community before growing into a thriving textile hub with the rise of the Rockfish Cotton Mill. Even after being destroyed during the Civil War, the mills were rebuilt—giving the town its name and a spirit defined by hope and perseverance.
Over time, Hope Mills has grown into a vibrant community while still holding onto the roots that shaped it.
