Mount Olive is a town built on faith, hard work, and the strength of its land.
Founded as a railroad village in the 1850s and named after the biblical Mount of Olives, it grew into a thriving agricultural hub where farming and trade shaped everyday life. When local farmers needed a way to bring their crops to market, it led to the creation of the Mt. Olive Pickle Company—a name that would go on to define the town’s legacy.
Through the years, Mount Olive has stayed true to its roots—grounded in agriculture, community, and a deep sense of pride in where it comes from.
