Salter Path is a coastal community where fishing, family, and life on the water have been passed down for generations.
Tucked along Bogue Banks between the Atlantic Ocean and Bogue Sound, Salter Path grew from the traditions of hardworking fishing families who made their living from the waters surrounding them. Commercial fishing, shrimping, crabbing, and days spent on the sound weren't just a way of life—they helped shape the identity of this close-knit community.
Even as the Crystal Coast has changed around it, Salter Path has held onto the character of an old North Carolina fishing village—a place of sandy roads, salt air, working boats, and families with roots that run as deep as the waters offshore.
